Yes. Castle Hills is a separately incorporated city inside Bexar County and we serve it fully. Lots here are established with mature trees close to houses and fences, so access planning matters more than raw size. Removal, trimming, stump grinding and storm response are all available.
Trees in Castle Hills get removed, trimmed, pruned and ground out by 3 Monkeys Tree Service, a locally owned company with 544 Google reviews averaging 4.9. Somebody answers the phone around the clock, including the night of a storm. Ask for a free estimate at (210) 253-7777 and decide afterward.
Castle Hills is an incorporated municipality within Bexar County, governed on its own, so any protected tree question goes to the City of Castle Hills rather than to San Antonio. On the ground it is a built out community with mature canopy on established lots. The recurring practical problem is access: trees grown up between houses, over fence lines and near service drops, where the only safe method is to take the tree down in controlled pieces.
Trees that predate the houses around them are common here, and they tend to overhang roofs, drives and fence lines. Working them safely means rigging rather than dropping, and it means protecting what is underneath: plywood over paving, mats on turf, and a groundsman clearing each piece as it lands.
There is a real distinction between the service drop running to your house and the high voltage distribution line on the poles. We can work around the first with proper precautions. Anything in contact with primary conductors is utility work, and the correct answer is to call the power company rather than let a tree crew take it on. We will tell you which situation you have.
The damage pattern here is wind driven rather than snow driven. Severe thunderstorm outflow can hit hard enough to take out large limbs while leaving the trunk untouched, and periodic ice adds weight to the same weak points. Most of what comes down had a structural defect that could have been spotted, which is why an inspection in fair weather is worth more than an emergency call in bad.
The crew works to a plan agreed with you at the estimate. If something on site turns out different from what was quoted, work stops and we talk to you before continuing. Nobody adds to the bill without a conversation first.
Emergency work is priced differently from planned work, and we say so up front. A tree on your roof at two in the morning costs more than the same tree scheduled for a Tuesday. What does not change is that you get the number before the saw starts.
Castle Hills lots are tight, which makes the unplanned work harder and more important. We cover emergency tree removal at any hour, storm damage cleanup after a front, and dead wood removal before a dead limb picks its own moment.
Grinding is a different machine and a separate line on the quote. Most people have it done at the same visit, which is cheaper than bringing the grinder back later as its own call out.
Ask your municipality before the crew is booked. We would rather delay a job by a few days than have you cited for removing something that turned out to be protected.
Yes, twenty four hours a day. Storm nights are the busiest we get, so call as early as you can and we will tell you honestly where you sit in the queue rather than promising a time we cannot hold.
It comes down to two questions. Is the tree structurally sound, and what is the target if it comes down. A hollow tree in the middle of a pasture is a different problem from a hollow tree over a bedroom.

My husband and I couldn’t be happier with the makeover our trees received. We chose the perfect company, and the entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. The team was friendly, professional, and did an excellent job. We’d gladly return because of their outstanding service and the care they put into their work. Highly recommended.
Wonderfully professional and detail oriented. I definarly recommend 3 Monkeys Tree Service!
LOVED THEM! Super quick, friendly, and did what they promised. I almost wish I had more trees for them to fix. They trimmed the crazy one in the back, and took out one that was starting to grow under the driveway and break the concrete. Can't even tell it was there. 100% would use these guys again.
They were great! Came out the very next day. It was such a tall tree. Did an awesome job. They surpassed my expectations. I will absolutely be using them again.
3 monkeys tree service was amazing. They were on time and did a great job and when they left the area was completely clean up. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great company with wonderful employees.
On time. Very professional, large crew. Everything was trimmed and clean. Trees won’t need cleaning up for a while but i would hire this team again in a heartbeat.
