Yes. Bulverde is in Comal County, north of the Bexar line, and we work it regularly. Acreage clearing, hazard removals and storm cleanup all come up here, along with the routine trimming that keeps mature oaks and pecans sound. Estimates are free and given on the property.

Bulverde lies in Comal County, north of Bexar, and it is incorporated separately, so its own rules govern tree work rather than San Antonio ones. Lot sizes tend to run larger here than in the inner suburbs, which changes the work in a practical way: there is more room to drop a tree cleanly, and more standing native cover to manage. Live oak, cedar elm and pecan are all common, and pecans in particular shed heavy limbs when they are neglected.
The reason we ask what species we are dealing with before scheduling is oak wilt. Live oaks in Central Texas are connected underground by grafted roots, so the disease can pass from tree to tree without ever going through the air. Spring is the risky window for fresh cuts. Every oak wound we make gets sealed immediately, and if a job should wait for cooler weather we say so.
Pecans grow large, hold heavy horizontal limbs and shed them when neglected. A mature pecan over a driveway or a roof is worth having looked at on a schedule rather than after something lands. Reducing end weight on long limbs and clearing deadwood addresses most of the risk without changing the character of the tree.
Central Texas runs through multi year dry cycles, and trees respond on a delay. A tree stressed through a hot dry summer often does not show it until the following season, when whole sections of canopy fail to leaf out. That standing deadwood is brittle, it comes down in the next wind, and it is the most common thing we are called to remove after a storm.
Removals get taken apart from the top down when there is no safe drop zone, which on most lots there is not. Sections come off on ropes. A groundsman clears each piece as it lands so the work area never becomes an obstacle course. The stump comes out separately if you want it gone.
Price comes down to access more often than size. A large tree in an open yard can cost less than a medium one wedged between a house and a fence, because the second one has to come apart piece by piece. Anyone quoting over the phone is guessing.
Acreage in Bulverde brings its own list: emergency tree removal when something comes down across a drive, storm damage cleanup after a line of thunderstorms, and dead wood removal on the standing timber that did not make it through the last drought.
Everything goes. Chipper for the brush, truck for the trunk wood, rake for what is left in the grass. The one thing that is priced separately is the stump, because not everyone wants it ground.
We grind stumps, and it is quoted separately because not everyone wants it done. Grinding takes the stump below grade so you can turf or plant over it. The grindings can be left to backfill the hole or hauled off.
Possibly. Protected tree ordinances in this region generally key off trunk diameter and species. Since the thresholds differ between municipalities we do not guess at them, we tell you to confirm with your local authority first.
Yes. We run around the clock, every day. Call (210) 253-7777 and you will reach a person rather than a message. A tree on a roof or across a drive does not wait for business hours and neither do we.

My husband and I couldn’t be happier with the makeover our trees received. We chose the perfect company, and the entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. The team was friendly, professional, and did an excellent job. We’d gladly return because of their outstanding service and the care they put into their work. Highly recommended.
Wonderfully professional and detail oriented. I definarly recommend 3 Monkeys Tree Service!
LOVED THEM! Super quick, friendly, and did what they promised. I almost wish I had more trees for them to fix. They trimmed the crazy one in the back, and took out one that was starting to grow under the driveway and break the concrete. Can't even tell it was there. 100% would use these guys again.
They were great! Came out the very next day. It was such a tall tree. Did an awesome job. They surpassed my expectations. I will absolutely be using them again.
3 monkeys tree service was amazing. They were on time and did a great job and when they left the area was completely clean up. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great company with wonderful employees.
On time. Very professional, large crew. Everything was trimmed and clean. Trees won’t need cleaning up for a while but i would hire this team again in a heartbeat.
