Yes. Boerne sits in Kendall County, outside Bexar, and we cover it along with the surrounding Hill Country. Larger lots and heavier native cover are common here, so jobs range from a single hazard tree beside a house to clearing understory across acreage. Emergency response runs twenty four hours.
Property owners in Boerne call 3 Monkeys Tree Service for everything from a single hazard limb to a full removal with the stump ground out. A 4.9 rating across 544 Google reviews and around the clock availability are the reasons they call back. Estimates are free, given in person, and yours to walk away from.
Boerne is in Kendall County, in the Hill Country proper rather than the San Antonio flats, and it is its own incorporated city. Both facts matter. The terrain carries heavy native cover, live oak and Ashe juniper especially, often on thin ground over limestone. And because Boerne governs itself, San Antonio tree rules do not apply to your property. Check with the City of Boerne before removing anything that may be protected, and we will work to whatever they tell you.
If your property has live oaks, the pruning calendar is not a preference. Oak wilt spreads through beetle-carried spores landing on fresh cuts, and through root systems that connect neighboring live oaks underground. That is why regional guidance says avoid pruning oaks in spring and seal every oak wound right away. A cheap trim at the wrong time of year can cost you a stand of trees.
Ashe juniper, which almost everyone here calls cedar, grows thick across the escarpment and will take over an understory if nothing is done. Clearing it selectively opens up a property, reduces fuel load and gives the hardwoods room. Clearing it indiscriminately strips cover the soil needs. We thin rather than scrape, and we leave the oaks and elms standing.
On the escarpment side of the county, limestone sits close to the surface and there is not much soil above it. Trees growing in that ground root wide and shallow rather than deep. A shallow root plate holds fine in ordinary weather and behaves very differently in saturated ground under wind, which is why soil lifting on one side of a trunk is a warning sign worth taking seriously.
The first thing that happens is a walk of the site. We look at what the tree is leaning toward, where the drop zone can go, and what has to be protected. Only then does anyone start cutting. Plywood and mats go down where equipment has to cross turf.
We quote in writing. The number covers the work described, the cleanup and the haul away. If the job needs a crane or a permit, that is in the quote too rather than appearing later as a line item you did not agree to.
Boerne callers reach us for the urgent work too. We run emergency tree removal around the clock, we handle storm damage cleanup after high wind, and we take out the dead limbs on a tree worth keeping through dead wood removal.
Yes, twenty four hours a day. Storm nights are the busiest we get, so call as early as you can and we will tell you honestly where you sit in the queue rather than promising a time we cannot hold.
It comes down to two questions. Is the tree structurally sound, and what is the target if it comes down. A hollow tree in the middle of a pasture is a different problem from a hollow tree over a bedroom.
For anything hazardous, immediately. For routine trimming, generally within the week. If we are backed up we will say so on the call, because a date we cannot hold helps nobody.
Anyone who quotes you a firm price without seeing the tree is guessing, and the guess usually goes up once they arrive. We come out, look at it, and give you a written figure that does not move.

My husband and I couldn’t be happier with the makeover our trees received. We chose the perfect company, and the entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. The team was friendly, professional, and did an excellent job. We’d gladly return because of their outstanding service and the care they put into their work. Highly recommended.
Wonderfully professional and detail oriented. I definarly recommend 3 Monkeys Tree Service!
LOVED THEM! Super quick, friendly, and did what they promised. I almost wish I had more trees for them to fix. They trimmed the crazy one in the back, and took out one that was starting to grow under the driveway and break the concrete. Can't even tell it was there. 100% would use these guys again.
They were great! Came out the very next day. It was such a tall tree. Did an awesome job. They surpassed my expectations. I will absolutely be using them again.
3 monkeys tree service was amazing. They were on time and did a great job and when they left the area was completely clean up. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great company with wonderful employees.
On time. Very professional, large crew. Everything was trimmed and clean. Trees won’t need cleaning up for a while but i would hire this team again in a heartbeat.
